Typically, Saint Patrick’s Day is filled with drunken shenanigans and tomfoolery. However, thanks to the rising popularity of cannabis, there’s a new way to celebrate the holiday. Why not break out some of your favorite green bud for such a special occasion? Here are five green and delicious buds for a glorious St. Patrick’s Day.
1. Green Crack
What better way to celebrate St. Patty’s day than with a little green? Green Crack, that is. While the name may sound a little intimidating, this strain is certainly a good one.
Classified as a sativa, Green Crack is upbeat, energetic, and strong. This strain produces around 20 percent THC on average, making this bud an extremely psychoactive flower. Sometimes this strain can be found under the name Green Crush.
2. Green Goblin
It’s unclear whether or not Green Goblin is a phenotype of Green Crack or a strain of its own right. Regardless, this spirited flower is known to pack a punch. Like Green Crack, this strain produces a decent amount of THC. Consumers can expect between 16 and 20 percent of the psychoactive.
While Green Goblin is also classified as a sativa, this strain is a hybrid at heart. Green Goblin is known to provide a creative energy boost, but it is also thought to be relaxing and easygoing. All in all, this is a great daytime choice this Saint Patrick’s Day.
3. Lucky Charms
Move over breakfast cereal. These lucky charms are for adults only. Lucky Charms is a colorful and delicious hybrid from Bodhi Seeds. A cross between a difficult to find hybrid, the White, and a strain called Appalachia, Lucky Charms produces a euphoric, easy, and upbeat high that is sure to leave you in good spirits.
The THC in this strain is thought to reach up to 22 percent, which means that this relaxing bud is best-suited to those with some cannabis experience.
4. Pot of Gold
Sleepy indica fans will love Pot of Gold, an indica-dominant hybrid from Holland. A cross between Hindu Kush and Skunk No. 1, this strain features a pungent, sweet scent and a happy but drowsy high overall.
Great as a pre-dinner treat, Pot of Gold is known to inspire a bad case of the munchies. Best saved for the evening or nighttime, this strain perfect for when you’re trying to hit the hay or wind down after a long night of partying.
5. Emerald OG
There’s no doubt that some of the best buds of the past few decades have come out of California’s Emerald Triangle. Emerald OG is one of them. An offspring from Fire OG and Emerald Diesel, one of the more potent OG Kush crosses available, Emerald OG is classified as an Indica and features a deeply relaxing, sedative kind of high.
While this strain isn’t the most potent indica on the market, Emerald OG features a fair amount of the psychoactive. Often containing between 18 and 20 percent THC, this strain may be a little on the strong side for novice consumers.
However, this gorgeous green treat is sure to provide a smooth and focused experience that will help you stay chill on an exciting day.
