What do you do when your partner loves you but doesn’t love weed? Dump them. Just kidding, you should never do that. But what you can do is hit them with a few facts. It’s been proven that pot can improve your relationship. Not to mention, your sex life. Perhaps your lover doesn’t know this. Or, maybe they just need to find out more. To help them get to know all about this magnificent plant they call cannabis, here are six ways to convince your significant other to relax about weed.
1. Explain how weed helps you
If your partner doesn’t know why you smoke pot in the first place, then they might not take it seriously. But if you express to them how it helps you, and even how it helps others, then they may have a change of heart.
2. Point out the fact that you can still get shit done
For the most part, non-smokers believe pot will make you lazy. And while that may be the case after a powerful indica, sativas do the complete opposite. Share the differences between the two with your partner. Maybe even point out the particular strain that keeps you moving.
3. Introduce them to the wonderful world of high sex
First, hit them with the facts. Weed improves your sex life, and this study will prove it. Then, show off a few pot products that are made to help you achieve better orgasms, like FORIA Pleasure, a weed-infused lube that awakens arousal and opens the door to natural, euphoric pleasure.
4. Offer to have a session with them
Has your partner even tried smoking weed before? If not, then they may just be nervous. Or, perhaps they just don’t want to do it alone. In that case, offer your assistance. Since you’re an experienced consumer, you can make sure their first experience with the herb is a good one.
5. Educate them about the many consumption methods
Is it smoking that turns your significant other off? If so, they probably have no idea that there are other ways to consume cannabis. For example, edibles and topicals. Neither one requires you to light up, and each has their own benefits.
Health may be a concern of theirs, too, which is all the more reason to educate your partner about vaporizing as well. For some, knowing they have options can help relax them a bit.
6. Avoid pressuring your partner
One thing you must always keep in mind is that not everyone is going to like weed. For one reason or another, the herb isn’t for everyone. And if your partner chooses not to get down with the ganja, then that’s their choice.
The more pressure they feel to try it, the less they’re going to want to. As long as they support your decision to consume, then that’s all that matters.
