Chris here, with an amazing look at the works of functional art that have come to represent the creative and innovative spirit of cannabis! Each piece in this series is a testament to the artistic achievements of glassblowers the world over.

Today’s piece is one for the romantics, the artists, and the dreamers. Grab your lighter, jar, and your silk pajamas, because this elegant piece from Green Side Up Gallery is going to make you want to smoke in pampered fashion.

Durable borosilicate glass is just the beginning of this bubbler made by artist Pipeatier. Standing at 7.9 inches from base to mouthpiece, and a respectable 3.75 inch base, this bubbler is a modest size, but by no means a meager one.

With a luxury price tag of just under $700, it is a serious investment in your cannabis experience, but one that would no doubt be worth it! (Palm fans and servants not included)

 Glass Of The Week #001

Decked out with wire wrapped and electroformed copper, the color and textures make your hands want to linger on every detail. Let your eyes get lost in the precious stones bound to the metalwork. Imagine how the aging copper would look over time, tarnishing in streaks of green to match those in the glass. It would become a relic in your collection like no other.

 Glass Of The Week #001

The swirled purple and green evoke the haze of herbal goodness that you want to load inside. Amethyst and emerald indulgence soothes the senses. Imagine how the weight of it would feel in your hands… Imagine the look on your friends faces as you unveil it for the first time, and hand them the hemp string to take the first pull off it.

 Glass Of The Week #001

I feel a spiritual call to Africa in the tusk shaped pieces of frosted clear glass, and the rich copper stands out against the background, bringing to mind Egyptian pharaohs and ancient metal jewelry. Would this piece have been at home in a long ago temple or palace?

 Glass Of The Week #001

Staring into the depths of the large glass bead summons visions of flowers and the cat Goddess Bastet, her knowing eyes of love and protection guarding the secrets of the Nile.

 Glass Of The Week #001

Could you imagine this beautiful bubbler resting on a rich velvet cloth on your bookshelf, with an elaborate wooden cask holding your stash next to it, perhaps even shaped like a sarcophagus?

Maybe some Purple Urkle loaded and waiting, and a cluster of grapes to munch on between bowls? Or when you look at this piece, does an entirely different vision stir in your heart? Perhaps Athens? Some vast space opera?

What would you want to smoke out of it first? Let us know in the comments below, and give props to Pipeatier from Green Side Up Gallery for sharing this wonderful artistic vision with us all. Go check out all the mouth-watering pieces for sale, including this one!

Did you enjoy these pics as much as I did? Then come back next week to see the next featured piece in the series!
