The best pizza I ever ate in my entire life featured an ingredient not found on the menu at your local pizzeria.
I can still remember it as if it were yesterday (something I occasionally like to do for enjoyment to pass the time, such as while waiting in line for lesser pizza). It was one of those momentous life events that stay with you forever, getting better with the passage of time.
Oil is king
I started by making a scrumptious pizza sauce with richly cannabinated MagicalButter Olive Oil. I like a thick sauce, so I patiently let it cook down over low heat to a nicely concentrated state. It was no easy feat, with the anticipation of a fantastic gastronomic experience mounting as each second ticked by.
Then, I made my pizza dough and stretched it out on a circular pan, brushing it with more infused olive oil. After spreading the sauce evenly almost to the edge, it was time to start topping my “masterpie”. I started with freshly grated mozzarella, then added some fresh spinach sautéed in infused garlic oil.
Can’t miss the meating
Next came an important “meating”: a generous portion of super lean ground sirloin, fresh prosciutto ham, and turkey bacon. I finished by dressing it with more fresh mozzarella in a circular pattern around the whole pie, ensuring complete coverage to hold all those yummy ingredients in place, warmly tucked in under a cheesy, bubbly blanket.
I preheated my oven to 320°F; I didn’t want to bake at too high a temperature and risk potentially degrading the potency of the pizza. Before introducing it into the oven, I generously brushed the crust with more of the MagicalButter Olive Oil and sprinkled it with freshly grated parmesan cheese and Cajun spices.
After carefully sliding the pizza into the oven, it was time for our gathering of guinea pigs to whet our appetites, which we accomplished in a most enjoyable herbal fashion. When the buzzer buzzed, we started salivating like a pack of Pavlov’s dogs.
From fasting to feasting
I removed the sizzling pie from the oven. It was beautiful, a light golden brown blush appearing across the top layer of cheese and around the crust. I wanted to inhale it instantly, but the others might have felt left out. Also, it’s always important to let a pizza rest for five minutes on an elevated rack before slicing, to let it firm up. I carefully sliced it with a roller, listening for the crunch of the crust, and proceeded to revel in devouring the most satisfying pizza imaginable. A few fortunate friends and I shared the pie, paired with a nice Pinot Noir that perfectly complemented the savory ingredients.
The new green pepper?
As we indulged in this incomparably delicious feast, we could not believe the symphony of flavors. Wow! Honestly, this is still the greatest pizza I have ever had in my life, bar none. Such a complex array of tastes and textures…in a truly sane world, cannabis would be a standard pizza ingredient option. Why not? Safe to say, it’s more popular than anchovies!
After scarfing down a sinsemilla-charged slice of paradise or three, we ventured outside to play glow-in-the-dark Frisbee beneath the moonlight…talk about pleasant memories that will last a lifetime!
