There’s no better way to enjoy a wake & bake than to go to a pyjama party. Well, in this case, pyjamas are optional, but that doesn’t mean you can arrive nude. This pyjama party will be Portland’s first-ever wake & bake that comes with a multi-course brunch. This will be the first event of its kind, and despite the legal hurdles, the creators of this event have managed to circumnavigate successfully.

HunnyMilk, a pop-up cafe, partnered with Pure Green Dispensary, are bringing this event to Portland on March 26, and tickets are on sale. This event is sure to be one of a kind and a brand new way to enjoy the stoner experience with fine cuisine and other entertainment.

Remember pyjama parties?

Remember when you were a child, and pyjama parties were all about hanging out with your friends, telling secrets and watching movies all night? No one said that pyjama parties had to end with teenage-hood. This kind of pyjama party is going to be an adults-only event, and yours truly, Mary Jane, is the most important guest. That’s what makes this public pyjama party a little bit different.

In addition to being able to enjoy your favorite herb with friends in a public place, there will be other entertainment for stoners to enjoy. There will, of course, be fine cuisine that is stoner friendly, like waffles and croissants. There will also be cartoons playing on projector screens, a pyjama contest as well as coloring books and crayons. This will be the kind of event you can go and indulge your senses at, choosing to get creative, to socialize or to get creative.

Legal hurdles

It wasn’t easy for HunnyMilk to make this a legal endeavor, but have managed to successfully overcome the legal hurdles of creating an event like this. It is still illegal to smoke in a public place in Portland, so creating a place where people could legally be high in public was a challenge. HunnyMilk finally decided that all the marijuana consumption would take place at another location. This would be part of a marijuana tour that takes guests to check out dispensaries. The bus would be considered a private location where guests can consume marijuana.

There are also legal regulations meaning that alcohol and marijuana cannot be present at the same event. There was no way out of this problem other than to mean that alcohol is not invited to the party, so this event will be alcohol-free. Also, 21s and older only!

How to get there?

Tickets are on sale at HunnyMilk’s website, and they are ready to be purchased. There will be two seatings, one at 9am and one at 12pm. Each seating will have room for 24 guests, and the creators of this event hope that it will become a monthly event. The event will last for two and a half hours in total per seating. March 26th is the date.

Together with local farms, the Pure Green Dispensary and HunnyMilk, there is finally an opportunity for you to smoke away in public with your friends and enjoy a good quality brunch. This is innovation in marijuana and cuisine at its finest.
