Cannabis has long been hailed as fuel for creativity by intellectuals, musicians, and artists. Traditionally, though, it has been the use of the herb, not the visual textures, that caused creativity to flow. But some artists have taken weed inspired art to a whole new level, and it is awesome! Check out some of these incredible masterpieces made from everything herb! Works of weed art like this take the concept of ‘high class’ to a whole new level.

Recently suspended for 5 years from mixed-martial arts fighting for smoking weed, Nick Diaz has a bit of cannabis inside. Probably a lot more now that he doesn’t have to test for a while. Now the two-time world champion fights for the herb. If he’s as hard of a hitter in the smoke circle as he is in the ring, you want to bring a lot when you join his sesh.

Tyler Remikie used various size pieces of herb to give his portrait a sense of shading and depth. A work of art that may never hang in a museum, it still has us impressed. He used Amnesia Haze to create this art, but I doubt it lasted long! Maybe he should do another with Khalifa Kush.

When you name one of your biggest albums “Chronic“, it’s safe to say you love weed. Though maybe on his next one, Dr. Dre will request this for his album art. French artist Vivi Mac created this portrait, including finely ground herb, buds, rolling papers, Benjamins, and a leaf.

Guaranteed, Snoop himself loves this detailed portrait. With joints, pipe cleaners, roaches, herb, and an eye for detail, Jason Mercier captured what’s on the inside. And are those hash lips?

There are so many ways that cannabis inspires creativity. Using it as not only a muse but a medium has started to gain traction. The biggest area for this can be seen in the versatile medium of dab art.

Imagine if artists could sell portraits like this at galleries! The biggest question is what would have a larger impact on the price tag, the quality of the art, or the quality of the cannabis.

What weed infused art would you like to see? Whole landscapes? Surrealist dab sculptures? Let us know on Facebook, Twitter, or in the comments below.
