Who doesn’t enjoy rolling out of bed, hitting a joint, and sipping down a fresh cup of coffee? If you like starting your day off right, then you know a wake-and-bake session is a must.

Now, to make it a little easier on you, two companies are collaborating to bring you a product that combines both THC and caffeine. That’s right; San Francisco’s Ritual Roasters and local edibles startup Somatik are bringing cannabis-infused coffee to the Bay Area.

Somatik cannabis cold-brew is an eight-ounce bottle of coffee that contains THC. According to Christopher Schroeder, founder of Somatik, this product contains less cannabis than most infused drinks on the market.

But that’s because the goal is to provide a beverage with a delicate mix of THC and caffeine. This way, users experience a more well-balanced mind-body effect.

The Somatik cold-brew cannabis coffee is the startup’s first product to hit the shelves. However, they plan to release other unique edibles later in the Spring.

Also, Ritual Roasters is teaming up with Somatik to create a cannabis chocolate-covered coffee bean. Can you say yum?

Unfortunately, for now you can only get your hands on these single-serve bottles of the coffee at the Oakland dispensary Magnolia Wellness, Harvest dispensary locations in San Francisco, and through the delivery service CANNVIS.

But not to worry. Somatik cold-brew costs $12 a bottle and should be arriving at more locations in the future.

Of course, cannabis coffee is nothing new. If you want to enjoy a caffeinated high, but don’t reside in the Bay Area, you can always make your own. In fact, there are quite a few ways to infuse your coffee right from home.

1. Cannabutter

First, you can add cannabis-infused butter to your cup. Because milk and creamer essentially come from the same source, churned milk, there’s no harm in adding a little butter to your coffee.

2. Cannahoney

Second, you can use cannahoney. Not only is it a fast and easy way to infuse your coffee, but it also adds a sweet flavor.

3. Cannamilk

Last, but certainly not least, there’s Canna Milk. Rather than using creamer, infuse your own milk.
