As most of you will know, smoking weed isn’t a bad thing – in fact, it’s pretty great – but it’s not for everyone, that’s for sure. These horror stories will remind you why, too.
From not being able to deal with the effects of smoking weed, or to just not knowing what to do, there are many reasons as to why people choose not to smoke. And for those unlucky ones, smoking can see some pretty crazy things happen to their mind.
It’s not just them, though, as bad highs can happen to even the most experienced smoker. The editorial team at FHM spoke to some experts and professionals about some of those bad highs, which are entertaining, to say the least.
We’ve had a number of companies that I suspected to be pump and dumps reach out to us for help with PR, and of course we declined. We’re tying to create a responsible model industry we can all be proud of, not help people get rich by cheating. – Evan Nison, CEO of NisonCo PR
I had an eye-opening experience about 6 years ago. After taking a hit of what this guy proclaimed to be the best cannabis in the world, my entire day went down the drain.
I was seeing spots, having my heart race and extreme anxiety. I immediately had to leave the event, and even considered going to the hospital.
Turns out the guy had been lacing his product with a multitude of other illegal pharmaceuticals. I can’t help but think, had testing protocols been in place in a regulated environment, this would have never happened.
I shudder to think that anyone would have to go through this, but until cannabis is in a regulated environment, I feel there will be more horror stories. – Shauntel Ludwig, Vice President of Operations at DaVinci Vaporizer
My grand opening day, my toilets exploded and my store was under 3″ of water all around. Cost me 30k and a week of time to get it fixed. – Alejandro Canto, Owner/COO of Diego Pellicer Washington
As a manufacturer, there is no greater thrill than connecting directly to our audience. But we are at a crossroads via legality and while we respect and work within the confines of the law- there is also no bigger disappointment than to see a consumer show being threatened or shut down.
We have had to withdraw from two conferences over the last six months due to threats of shutdowns by the authorities. We do not have the luxury of putting our people at risk. Jail is no joke- and sadly taxpayers’ money is still being used to arrest people who are working for the liberation of cannabis. – Michael Trzecieski, CEO of Vapium
One time in high school, I got a buddy high on the way to choir practice. He wasn’t an everyday stoner and ended up having a panic attack while we were singing; a panic attack that he thought was a heart attack.
He was rushed to the hospital to realize all was fine, but that’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen related to pot. I’ve smoked for 15 years so I guess that says a lot about cannabis vs other stuff that I’ve seen kill countless people in the same amount of years…. – Drew White, legalization advocate
