Although Miley hasn’t confirmed if she’s quitting the herb for good, she says that she is now three weeks clean and desires to reach out to her more conservative fans.
Miley Cyrus says she’s ditching nipple pasties and weed
For quite a few years now, Miley Cyrus has been openly sharing her love for weed and nipple pasties. But that’s all about to come to an end as she works on building a new image.
While speaking with Billboard Magazine, the former Disney star admitted that she wants to be super clear and sharp as she prepares to launch her new music, which is taking her back to her country roots.
That means no more smoking weed, no more nipples pasties, and no more alcohol. Apparently, Miley is officially three weeks clean from everything,
I haven’t smoked weed in three weeks, which is the longest I’ve ever [gone without it]. I’m not doing drugs, I’m not drinking, I’m completely clean right now! That was just something that I wanted to do.
On May 11th, the singer will be releasing her new single, called Malibu. According to Billboard Magazine, the inspiration for the song comes from Miley’s relationship with Liam Hemsworth.
The evolution of Miley Cyrus
When the world first met Miley, they knew her as Hannah Montana from the Disney Channel. But in 2013, she decided to ditch her clean image for something a little more out there.
Miley grabbed everyone’s attention when she sported latex lingerie and backed it up on Robin Thicke at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. From that moment on, she became known as pop music’s bad girl.
Along with her image, Miley is also switching up her style of music. Her upcoming album will feature more acoustic songs, one of which is dedicated to Hillary Clinton.
According to Cyrus, she wants to reach out to her more conservative fans. To do that, she says wearing nipple pasties probably isn’t the best way,
I like talking to people that don’t agree with me, but I don’t think I can do that in an aggressive way.
I don’t think those people are going to listen to me when I’m sitting there in nipple pasties, you know.
