One of the best things about starting a new year in New York is the city’s renowned Restaurant Week. The successful venture is back with the newest restaurants and services, serving nothing but the cream of the crop.

This year’s first Restaurant Week NYC features more ethnic eateries and dishes than ever like Japanese, Chinatown, Malaysian, French, and Belgian. This year will also feature neighborhood-specific restaurants. Who can pass up a delicious three-course dinner at the best restaurants in New York for only $39?

Restaurant Week New York City lets its residents feast upon the best dishes in the city at bargain prices. The event runs twice a year in January/February and again in July/August. This year’s first Restaurant Week New York City begins January 18 until February 13, 2022. Reservations will be open tomorrow, January 11. One of the best ways to get easy online reservations is through OpenTable.

According to NYC Insider Guide, the list of restaurants at this year’s Restaurant Week NYC includes; José Andrés (Mercado Little Spain), Joe Bastianich (Babbo, Casa Mono, Eataly, Lupa), Tren’ness Woods-Black (Sylvia’s), Daniel Boulud (Bar Boulud, Epicerie Boulud), Andrew Carmellini (Bar Primi, The Dutch, Lafayette, Leuca, Locanda Verde, Westlight), Leah Cohen (Pig & Khao), Lisa Fernandes (Sweet Chili), and Daniel Kruger (Loring Place).

Restaurant Week is the best time to try new eats courtesy of the best restaurants in New York City, especially if you’re on a budget. Finally, NYC Insider Guide also listed a few notes to take away regarding this year’s first Restaurant Week NYC.

  • Three-course prix-fixe meals at $29 (lunch) and $42 (dinner) do not include beverages, tips, and tax.
  • Most restaurants are only participating during weeknights, not busy weekends.
  • Be sure to check out the menus at each restaurant before heading down, as there are fewer choices on the Restaurant Week menu.
  • The slowest days are Monday to Wednesday.
  • Clarify that you’re booking for Restaurant Week when making a reservation.
  • Make sure to ask for a Restaurant Week menu when you’re being seated; some restaurants won’t give it to you unless you ask.
