When you light it up you sometimes need a good show to watch. Here are ten great ideas.
That 70’s Show
The 1970’s means references to classic rock, bell bottoms and wacky tabacky. You’ll love the POV camera angle of Hyde, Fez, Kelso, Foreman, or Leo (Tommy Chong) passing it on the left hand side. Plus, watching Ashton Kutcher or Wilmer Valderrama playing Kelso and Fex respectively is comedic genius.
Superjail! is graphic violence meets psychedelic art created by Christy Karacas and Stephen Warbrick (remember Beavis and Butt-head?) Set in a prison in an alternate dimension you’ll meet characters like the Warden in purple top hat and coat, Alice the she-male security guard, the psychedelic twins’ alien inmates, and the list goes on. Make sure to watch every fifteen minute episode of this psychedelic-hippie-art-fest-meets-Tom-and-Jerry-type cartoonage.
Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!
Comedians Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim take deadpan jokes verging on the bizarre, combine them with celebrity guest appearances and cheesy video effects and it equals one winner of a show for anybody stoned out of their gourd.
It doesn’t need a description due to its popularity, but here we go. The main character, Peter Griffin, recites tasteless jokes for a half-hour and if you don’t laugh you really need to change your ‘tude, dude.
The Dave Chappelle Show
Dave Chappelle made a movie called Half Baked, so, of course, he makes the list. Eddie Murphy is known for helping to spark Dave’s comedy career, but let’s not forget Ed McMahon who had him on Star Search when he was only just a young lad! Can’t you hear Dave right now? Rick James, bitch!
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
This is Dark comedy at its finest and whenever I hear Danny Devito or Charlie Day make some sort of drug reference I spit up my Fruit Loops! At the time of this writing it’s currently in season eleven and that’s good for us.
More dark comedy on the table here. It’s about three roommates who act stupid and do zany things to make you laugh. Blake Anderson plays the character “Blake” and is the funny stoner guy with orange, curly hair and ‘stache.
Trailer Park Boys
The three main characters of this show hail from Canada and live in a trailer park. The show is so popular they’ve appeared on the cover of High Times as well as making a guest appearance on the GGN Network, Snoop Dogg’s internet channel/stoner show! Anyway, the show will just make you laugh you rear end off.
This awesome show has been around for years and is loved by everyone. Did you know there are two episodes specifically about weed you can check out? See the episodes Weekend at Burnsie’s and A Midnight Summer Nice Dream with Cheech and Chong.
A pix-elated cartoon. Think Nintendo 64, Sega and Atari. Then add a comedic sitcom element based on the fictional lives of video game developers and you get Code Monkeys.
