Every group of smoking buddies have their own sets of spoken and unspoken rules. Take a look at this list of ten rules for smoking marijuana that you should always follow.
1. Don’t Bogart The Weed
If you are smoking with a group of friends, be sure to pass the smoke. There is nothing worse than someone who smokes til there is nothing left.
2. Ash Before You Pass
When smoking joints and blunts, be sure to hand your friend a freshly ashed stogie. This will keep the floor clean, free up your buddy to focus on smoking, or it can keep you from possibly setting the place on fire.
3. Puff Puff Pass
2 hits then it goes to the left. No questions. This rule is as old as weed itself.
4. Bit** Don’t Kill My Vibe
If you even think about being a downer during a good smoke sesh, you need to reevaluate your relationship with marijuana. Getting high is about relaxing and having a good time. Don’t ruin that.
5. El Puma
Quien fuma? El Puma. This one might only be popular in Spanish-speaking groups, but if someone asks in Spanish “Quien fuma” the first person to say “El Puma” gets to hit the smoke second. Stay alert folks.
6. Keep the Flame
Be sure to keep the cherry rolling. We told you not to bogart the joint, part of that is keeping it lit. If you waste time when the joint is in your hand, you are going to let the flame fade. Relighting joints and blunts with butane lighters can often contaminate the flavor you enjoy.
7. Yield to the Expert
Don’t be stubborn. Maybe it is your weed, but if your friend is a better roller than you, let him roll the thing. You can still request to be the one who sparks the joint. It is your weed right?
8. Beggars Can’t be Choosers
If you don’t bring any bud to the table, don’t talk shit on the herb that your friends supply. Nothing is worse than a know it all who has nothing but trash talk to contribute.
9. Sharing is Caring
If you are with strangers smoking for the first time, you should always offer to throw down on what you are smoking. Usually people offer to “match” in these situations.
10. Don’t Freak Out…Mannnnnnnn
Know your limits. If you are a regular smoker you should know what you can consume without losing your head. Of course, your friends will take care of you if something goes wrong, but don’t make it a habit.
