As Mark Twight once said, everything costs something. Everyone pays. And if you smoke weed, then you know this all too well. Not only do you have to fork up the money for something to smoke out of, but you also have to buy the pot itself. For those that toke on the daily, they can easily spend up to 30 bucks a week on pot, and that’s just the bare minimum. While having to come up with so much money for your bud has its downsides, it also has its perks. If you are someone who spends $30 or more a week on weed, then here are six things you know are true.
1. You get what you pay for
Of course, anyone can spend a couple of bucks on shit weed. But if you want the powerful stuff, then you know that spending top dollar is necessary. Although you do get more bud when you settle for poor quality, you’re also wasting your money that way. Less isn’t always more.
2. You’re saving money in the long run
Sure, spending only 20 bucks on pot may sound like a deal at the time. But that also means you’re going to have to turn right around and spend it again in a day or two.
By throwing in $30 or more a week on weed, you can get enough ganja to last you more than just 24 hours. And while it seems expensive to go that route, you’re actually saving money in the long run.
3. You sometimes feel guilty about spending so much money on weed
But then you remember that you could be spending it on worse things, like alcohol and meth.
4. You have a high tolerance
For the most part, people who spend more than $30 a week on pot are daily smokers. Or, when they do smoke, they smoke a lot of bud.
Of course, the more weed you smoke, the higher your tolerance will become over time. But hey, that’s nothing a tolerance break can’t fix, though you probably don’t believe in those if you’re buying the herb every single week.
5. Budgeting is a must
At the very least, you spend $120 a month on pot, and that’s if you stick to 30 bucks a week. In addition to the money you set aside for pot, you also have plenty of other bills that need to be paid.
For this reason, you must budget your money to make sure you have the necessary funds to cover all your expenses.
6. Your dealer loves you
Just like you love spending money on weed, your bud man loves taking your money. And if you go to the same dealer weekly, then they probably cut you an excellent deal here and there. Not to mention, you’re much more likely to get a quick response than someone who only brings them 20 bucks every other week.
