Finding that special someone to spend the rest of your life with is great. And when you know it’s fate; you seal the deal by getting married. Weddings are awesome, to begin with, but there’s something that can make them that much more memorable: cannabis. Now that the herb is legal for recreational use in some states, weed weddings are officially a thing. From weed centerpieces to hemp paper products, here are six ways to incorporate legal pot into your wedding day.
1. Supply wine and weed
If you wish to include alcohol at your wedding, then there is no better option than wine. In fact, wine and cannabis pair together rather nicely.
Although this would mean hiring additional staff and experts, wine and weed pairings are a unique option for your special day. According to Ivy Gaitatzis, CEO, and founder of California-based Voulez Events, the process involves “bringing the cannabis smoke extract to sub-zero temperatures, which is then dispensed into a glass of wine.”
2. Select a designated area for consumption
Kids may or may not be present at the wedding. Also, some of your guests might not want to be around a bunch of smoke.
For this reason, it’s best to have a specific area where your guests can consume the herb. This way, you can be polite and still toke as much as you please.
3. Use hemp paper products
If you want a weed wedding but don’t want to go too overboard, using hemp paper products is an easy way to incorporate the herb into your big day.
From the invitations to the food menu, hemp would make a great addition to your wedding, especially if you live in a state where weed is illegal.
4. Choose pot centerpieces
Centerpieces are the first thing your guests will see when they take a seat at their tables.
And if you want to knock their socks off, then add some cannabis leaves to your floral display. After all, weed is just a plant. So, why not go for it?
5. Provide ganja-friendly favors
Everyone loves party favors. From edibles to pre-rolled joints, the possibilities are endless.
One thing is for certain; your guests will leave happy. It doesn’t get much better than free weed.
6. Bud-onnieres over boutonnieres
Anyone can pick up boutonnieres from the flower shop and slap in on their groomsmen. But why settle for something so standard?
Bud-onnieres will look cool, yet classy on your groomsmen. Not to mention, you can add in other flowers or plants to compliment the herb.
