The 10 craziest bongs in the world
Yes, these actually exist.
The quest for the most over-the-top, wild, crazy bong ever doesn’t take long to reach the realm of the absurd. But, then again, what fun is life without some absurdity thrown it? Here are the 10 craziest bongs in the world.
1. The Respiratory Recycler
New York rapper Action Bronson has a sweet gig. As host of “Fuck, That’s Delicious,” Bronson’s job is to smoke weed, travel the globe and indulge in fine dining. It only makes sense, therefore, that he’d want the best possible tools to do his work. Bronson shelled out $20,000 for the Respiratory Recycler bong, certainly one of the craziest bongs in the world. “Today is a gorgeous day. I think it’s a good idea to sit outside, listen to music, write raps and reach a higher ground using this fucking beauty,” Bronson posted to Instagram. The piece was created by award-winning glassblower Andrew K. Morris of Richmond, Virginia.
2. Scott Deppe’s Take Me 2 The Mothership
This piece featuring aliens, mushrooms, pot leaves, and plenty of color comes from legendary glass artist Scott Deppe. “Take Me 2 The Mothership” has all the features of the most high-end bongs. Plus, just look at the thing. If you’re a patron of the arts, you’ll need at least $20,000 to take it home with you.
3. $200K Grateful Dead Bong
Washington-based glassblowers Mothership have offerings starting at around $10,000. Those are the inexpensive ones, by the way. You’ll have to pay a little more—Ok, a LOT more—for this 10-inch piece: Try $200,000. It easily qualifies as one of the craziest bongs in the world. Featuring intricately detailed marbles created by Japanese artists, the piece may be the most talked about bong ever made, reports The Stranger. Dancing bears and skulls are inlaid into the marbles attached to the inside and outside.
4. Roor Excalibur
Good luck getting your hands on one of these. Standing at more than 6 feet tall, the Roor Excalibur was commissioned by Cypress Hill in 2009. B-Real was famously photographed with this German-made piece after it took Best Glass at the ’09 Cannabis Cup. Made of 9 mm thick glass and resting on a 33 cm diameter base, this monster costs $15,000.
5. ChroniCaster Bong Guitar
Music and weed go well together. That’s why the ChroniCaster, designed by Joe Naylor at Reverend Musical Instruments in East Point, Michigan, is so perfect. A fully playable guitar and also a fully functional bong, you can definitely hit the “high notes” with this piece.
6. Heart and Lungs Bong
Chesterfield Glass Art, a high-end manufacturer, created this artful Heart and Lungs bong. Chesterfield makes bongs ranging from about $2,000 to $10,000 a piece. One of the coolest things about the Heart and Lungs bong is watching the smoke go through the tubes in reverse order: First the heart, then the lungs, then your mouth.
7. Plasma Bong
This bong doesn’t look like much… until you turn it on. Created by Cheech Glass and endorsed by stoner legend Cheech Marin of Cheech and Chong, this Plasma Bong is so entertaining, you may momentarily forget to smoke…but not for long.
8. Killadelph Custom Triple Coil Beaker
Let’s note at the outset that the above name is the short form. The full name of this intricate piece is the Killadelph Custom Triple Coil Beaker with Collin’s Pyramid Percolator and Matching Showerhead Ash Catcher. Got all that? It’s made from black glass rather than the usual clear glass. Save up if you’re in love with this piece: it costs $6,800. I suppose it only makes sense that the craziest bongs in the world would come with hefty price tags.
9. High Tech x “DNA” Collab with Detachable Glycerin Coil
Illadelph and High Tech got together to create this one-of-a-kind masterpiece. A functional glass water pipe, this 20-inch bong is sleek and spectacular. The price of knowing nobody who has one exactly like it is $8,000.
10. Long Bong Stanley
The Long Bong‘s hand-crafted crystal glass bulb holds an incredible 8 liters of water, and it stands at almost five feet tall. It includes a cap to contain any lingering aromas when not in use. The Long Bong comes in no-frills packaging so the price you pay is all for quality components. Expect some of the biggest hits of your life for $2,899.99.
