If you live in a typical household, chances are you’ll already have these seven household products, which will come in handy when toking.
If you’ve broken or misplaced your pipe, there are alternatives to make sure you can still get your smoke on. The same goes for a lighter, too, meaning you can still smoke your stash if your lighter is empty or missing. But there are other common household products that can be used to help your smoking experience, seven of which are listed below.
1. Paper clips
If you smoke with a pipe or bong, you’ll know that cleaning the resin out of either is key to keeping the air flowing. The easiest way to do it is to grab a paperclip, pull one end out straight, then pick at the gunk that is blocking it all.
2. Rubbing alcohol
If you use a bong, or a glass pipe, then rubbing alcohol is your friend. That’s because isopropyl alcohol will break down the thickest of resin, making cleaning a whole lot easier. So, if your bong or pipe is in a sorry state, simply soak the worst part in rubbing alcohol to get the process started.
3. White vinegar
While rubbing alcohol is good for removing the resin, for the hard water stains on your bong, it’s best to use white vinegar. The vinegar can be used to not only clean the inside of your bong, but also the outside of it, too.
4. Cotton swabs
These days, you won’t be using cotton swabs to clean the heads of your VCR, but you can use the things to clean the pipe you smoke your heads in. Just dip the swab in the rubbing alcohol and clean in and around the areas that are covered in resin.
Are you missing your roach clip? That’s no problem if you have tweezers in your household, which can make for the perfect roach clip.
6. Mason jars
Yes, you can use mason jars to store and drink moonshine from. But the jars are also handy storage for your weed, too, thanks to the airtight screw top. Before putting your weed in the jar, remove it from the plastic bag. Given that most are clear, it pays to keep the jar out of direct sunlight, which isn’t good for your herb.
7. Business cards
Even if you don’t know where the business cards came from, you’ll probably have a few floating around the house, or in your wallet. That’s a good thing, though, since the cards make for a great scraper of ground weed. It can also be torn and folded to make a decent filter, too.
