Good Boy! You’ll Wish Your Dog Was This Well Trained
Dogs have a great sense of smell. Imagine your dog brought a bag of weed home in his mouth? This actually happened in Mississippi!
A family dog brought it’s owner home a pound of pot in a baggy. It looks like this doggy needs a job with the local K-9 unit don’t you think?
A cold case
It all happened in Mississippi. The Jones County police investigated the unusual incident and came up cold. The owner thought the dog just brought home some garbage, but noticed the smell and found the pot in there. No one knows how the dog got hold of this large amount of marijuana.
Dogs are ‘nosey’
Did you know a dog’s nose is 10,000 times better than ours? James Walker, who worked as director at Florida State University’s Sensory Research Institute, studied this subject extensively. In a PBS NOVA blog post called “Dogs’ Dazzling Sense of Smell” he said, “If you make the analogy to vision, what you and I can see at a third of a mile, a dog could see more than 3,000 miles away and still see as well.” Dog’s have some major super powers don’t you think?
If cats have catnip then…
Type “marijuana dog treats” into google and all sorts of things pop up. Have you heard of Canna-Biscuits for Dogs by Canna-Pet? Their flavors are turkey and cranberry, apple & carrot, banana-nut, pumpkin pie, maple bacon. They are rich in cannabidiol and advertise no psychoactive effect. Then there’s one called Therabis that has a series of products for dogs called, Up and Moving, Calm and Quiet, and Stop the Itch.
