By now, 420 is probably a distant, somewhat hazy, memory for most of you. You’ve smoked all the weed and now you’re left with a whole bunch of stems that you can’t bring yourself to just throw out. You don’t want to smoke them, as the minimal amount of THC isn’t worth the inevitable headache. So why not turn them into something a little more useful? Here are five ways to use those stems so you get the most from your stash.
First off, you’re going to need a lot of stems for this one. You can mix it up with bud, too. Cannabutter is the base ingredient for loads of delicious edibles, so get cooking.

People have been infusing weed with vodka and other liquors for a long time, it’s nothing new. And recently, cannabis cocktails have been a huge trend. Warren Bobrow, known the world over as The Cocktail Whisperer, has taken his long-held love of both drinks and cannabis and combined them into a book for the ages.

3. Stem hash oil
- Grind the stems until they become an extremely fine powder.
- Add the stem powder to a glass jar filled with 99% isopropyl alcohol. Cover it and shake vigorously for one to two minutes.
- Strain immediately. Then transfer the liquid to a wide-bottomed glass dish or bowl. Set this dish in a well-ventilated space and let all the alcohol evaporate.
4. Stem Bubble Hash
This method can allow you to produce some pure and potent bubble hash. Of course, since you are using plant materials other than flower, this version of it won’t be as potent as you might expect.
But it’s still a good way to get the most out of whatever THC remains in those stems.

5. Skin nourishing topicals
Research has shown that THC and CBD, two of the most common compounds in cannabis, also have antibacterial properties. All of these characteristics make canna-infused creams the miracle workers of your first aid kit.
