 The New Herb

It’s 2:17 am on a Sunday morning, and I can’t sleep. We’re launching a new brand and platform that has been eight months in the making.

In 2012, I was inspired to create Herb after one of my friends was nearly consumed by pharmaceuticals. Instead, he found a life-changing alternative treatment in cannabis. For years he struggled with depression and PTSD. I spent a lot of time in waiting rooms. It was cannabis that made his suicidal thoughts subside and got him back to some semblance of a normal life. This experience and the similar stories I’ve encountered again and again inspired me to create a resource where people across the world could find accurate and reliable cannabis information.

In only 4 years, we’ve grown the community to over 9 million people on Facebook and 750 thousand on Instagram. What started as a platform to help my close friends learn more about cannabis has transformed into something bigger and more meaningful than I could have ever imagined.

People all over the planet are living with pain, stress, depression, or a laundry list of other conditions that infringe on their happiness. What is becoming increasingly clear is that cannabis isn’t just about seeds, stems, leaves, and soil. For many people, cannabis presents an opportunity for growth, relief, and exploration.

The Mission

Herb exists to give people everywhere the freedom to explore the possibilities of medical and recreational cannabis. There are a few things you should know about us:

We are diverse. We are free thinkers. We are achievers. And we are not here to scare your parents. We believe that cannabis is more than just a plant. Above all, we believe that cannabis is a catalyst to experience, to curiosity, to culture, to community, and to health. It’s not about the plant. It’s about what you choose to do with it. Herb exists to connect people with the transformative power of cannabis to free their bodies, minds, and souls. We want you to do one thing: Live Free.

Over the past 6 months, Herb’s team of designers, creatives, entrepreneurs, hackers, and hustlers redesigned the entire Herb experience. We did this to better reflect the millions of people who make up the largest cannabis community in the world.

Because we’re not just here to shatter the stigma of cannabis. We’re here to build new perceptions.

Together, we will do one thing: Grow.
