In an article published by Cosmopolitan, one Mom talks about how smoking marijuana improves her ability to parent — something counter-intuitive to popular belief.
“I’m slower to get angry or frustrated, because I understand their frustrations. I am able to see the world through their eyes, to remember how hard it is to be a preschooler or toddler, how things that seem obvious to me aren’t yet known to them. We all have a better day.”
It makes a lot of sense, no? She adds that parenthood-induced anxiety is a ‘real thing’ so consuming cannabis to cope is not that outlandish. We couldn’t agree more!
Interestingly enough, this wouldn’t even be noteworthy in other cultures that have fully embraced cannabis. For example, moms in Jamaica actually feed their children cannabis and find it improves their performance in school.
Whether or not you agree with this, one thing is for certain: we only understand the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the benefits of cannabis.
