Comedian, actress, and best-selling author, Chelsea Handler, loves herb — she’s made that clear for quite some time. She’s smoked up with Willie Nelson, for Pete’s sake!

Her love for the sweet green doesn’t exclusively involve smoking with country stars or eating legal edibles. Handler’s also a certified cannabis connoisseur and she’s on the hunt for a strain that doesn’t cause the munchies. While there are other ways to get rid of the munchies or, at the very least, make them work to your advantage, a stain that eliminates the desire to eat unhealthy foods could be incredibly beneficial. 

On January 15, the former Chelsea Lately host shared several Instagram stories and a post proving her passion for the plant. She also shared her plans to pursue a strain that suppresses hunger. She thinks it will be perfect for women.

‘Today I’m heading up north to another weed farm so I can see another grow, because I’ve only been to about 17 grows,’ she said in one Instagram story.

The location of the growing facility, though undisclosed, implies the facility is located in either upstate California, Oregon, or Washington. Handler is currently based in Los Angeles.

Another Instagram story sees Handler detailing why she’s making the trek in the first place.

‘I’m just trying to find the right strain for girls so that we don’t get hungry when we get stoned!’ she said.

Handler also shared a selfie on Instagram, looking super stoked to be surrounded by crops in an indoor growing facility.

Of course, Handler’s comedic prowess never quits. The caption intentionally misquotes Leo Tolstoy, the Russian author of realism who died in 1910.
