The Munchies: Kid Cudi’s Favorite, Infused Quesadillas

Kid Cudi is a fan of Mexican cuisine.

From tacos to burritos, and especially quesadillas, the flavors and decadence of the food is something he enjoys. Let’s take a look at how to make authentic quesadillas, which you can elevate and customize to whatever extent you want and feel you need.

Quesadillas are a street food staple of Mexico. Markets and street vendors are filled with these delicious treats, and the word explains them so well. These babies are cheese-filled tortillas and nothing more. You can, however, get meat quesadillas, which just means they get an added punch by throwing in some beef in the mix.

There are tons of different kinds of quesadillas, but the base is the same for all. You need a wheat or corn tortilla, and some delicious cheese. Whatever you throw in the middle is up to you. Traditional Mexican quesadillas are light on cheese and served with delicious guac or salsa on the side; the upgraded version, which includes some ham is called a Sincronizada, for example.

Ingredients

This recipe makes four quesadillas. You will infuse them in the process of cooking. Feel free to add any toppings you like:

  • Beans
  • Pork
  • Chicken
  • Huitlacoche

This last ingredient is a delicious fungus that infects corn and gives it a pasty texture and delightful flavor.

  • 4 Wheat tortillas
  • 2 cups of Oaxaca or Asadero cheese, but you can replace it with mozzarella
  • 1 tablespoon Cannaoil
  • ½ tablespoon Cannabutter

Process

  1. Heat a frying pan on medium to high heat, and prepare all your ingredients ‘cause the process is quick and easy.
  2. Add ¼ tablespoon of oil and a dab of cannabutter. Once hot, throw in a tortilla and let it cook for about 45 seconds or until golden.
  3. Flip!
  4. Add ½ a cup of cheese and close the tortilla in half. Toast both sides of the now-formed quesadilla until you get a delicious, crispy feast
  5. Repeat.

Wasn’t that simple? These treats are great for when you want a quick meal, and you can put in anything in the middle. Just preheat the topping and add it before closing the quesadilla. You can also add it to the top. Serve with delicious salsa and some guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Make sure to lick your fingers. Enjoy!
