How to make cannabis-infused fried Cap’n Crunch chicken tenders
This recipe gives a whole new meaning to the term “soul food.”
Cap’n Crunch and Chicken Tenders are typically the foods you would reach for after smoking, but why delay gratification? This new recipe combines all three products—chicken, marijuana and Cap’n Crunch cereal—into one, finger-licking delicious meal. This recipe will not only satisfy your appetite but also acts as a marijuana edible.
Making this meal is simple. Start out by crushing three cups of Cap’n Crunch cereal in a bowl, until they resemble breadcrumbs. You can do this with your hands, or with the bottom of a glass. Then, take your raw chicken strips and coat the outside of them in flour. Dip your floured chicken tender into a bowl of beaten egg. Then, take this chicken tender and roll it around in your bowl of crushed Cap’n Crunch cereal until the tender is completely covered.
For the next part, you’re going to need weed-infused olive oil. To make this ingredient, simply combine one up of ground marijuana with one cup of olive oil in a slow-cooker, double-boiler or saucepan, and let the two ingredients simmer on low heat for 4-6 hours, stirring occasionally. Strain out the bits of marijuana with a cheesecloth or fine strainer, and voila.
Next, pour one cup of this weed-infused olive oil into a frying pan, until the oil is sizzling. You can check to make sure the oil is hot enough by wetting your fingers under the tap and flicking a few droplets of water into the hot oil. If the oil immediately sizzles and bubbles, it’s ready for the chicken tenders.
Finally, lay your breaded chicken tenders into the sizzling oil and fry them until they’re golden-brown on the outside, and cooked all the way through.
The only thing left to do is enjoy. Just make sure you’re wearing sweatpants, and near a couch—if there was ever a dish that’s guaranteed to give you “the itis,” it’s marijuana-infused fried cap’n crunch chicken tenders.
