The use of cannabis for the health of animals is one that many find controversial. However, CBD as medicine for pets is becoming increasingly popular. Although there aren't enough studies to definitively say that CBD will improve your pet's quality of life, many pet owners aren't willing to wait while their furry friend suffers and are using CBD as an experimental treatment. Many dog and cat owners believe that because CBD isn't psychoactive and offers anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties, the relative risks posed by giving your pet CBD are relatively low compared to the possible benefits. There are many commonly accepted medicines for pets that offer more consuming side-effects than cannabidiol. While we wouldn't suggest acting on its rising popularity among pet owners alone, next time your pet is sick, think about talking to your veterinarian about the benefits of CBD.
