Edward and Audrey Cramer, a Pennsylvania couple, are suing their local police over a shocking persecution of their house plant. An insurance agent had stopped by the Cramer household to inspect a fallen tree when they noticed a hibiscus plant in the couple’s window. The insurance agent snapped a photo of the inconspicuous item and sent it to local authorities. Only a short time later, to the shock of the two Cramers, police appeared at their doorstep, locked and loaded. The authorities raided the Cramers’ house expecting a major drug bust, but only discovered some run of the mill greenery. The police took the couple away in handcuffs. Read the full story here.
