The trouble arising from the disparity between state and federal cannabis control is only increasing.
The first marijuana ad, a commercial for the Neos Vape Pen, was set to air this past week in Colorado. But due to, as Bloomberg’s Ramy Inocencio admits, the “basically federally-controlled channels”, it’s been put on hold.
Like dispensary raids, this is a more mild example of the problems that arise when state and federal policy directly conflict. With such a sizable industry already forming and enormous profit margins at stake, these issues will only exacerbate as state markets develop and legislation fails to keep up.
