Basketball legend and NBA Hall of Famer Chris Webber recently announced the launch of his very first luxury cannabis brand, Players Only.
The launch is in partnership with Lavetta Willis, Webber’s business partner. There are a ton of collaborations already taking place under the Players Only name, all of which will be available at select Gage and Cookies dispensaries across Michigan.
Webber says that Players Only is much more than just your average weed brand. It’s a lifestyle brand that strives to reduce the stigma and change the narrative around cannabis use.
But what’s even more exciting is the brand’s many current and upcoming partnerships with entertainers, musicians, cultivators, and brands.
The brand is launching with some of the hottest collaborations and product offerings. A few stand-out strains ready to launch are Webber’s own C4, Time Out, and G.O.A.T.’s Milk.
The brand is also looking to drop Whipped Cherries, Non-Laters, Ray Jackson’s Black Sox, and Blueberry Hotcakes to follow shortly after the launch.
Perhaps the most exciting part about Webber’s new company is its many impressive collaborations with familiar names. Players Only will bring Quavo’s BIRKINZ strain to Michigan dispensaries, alongside Hassim Robinson and Winner’s Circle Genetics strain PB&J.
The Players Only launch will also include the legacy brand Lil Stupid, which is the first time the brand has rolled out operations in the legal market. Lastly, Detroit recording artist Royce 5’9″ will launch the Heaven brand alongside a new NFT.
Besides the many collaborations (there’s more to come), Players Only will launch a variety of unique products in the Michigan market.
Players Only’s product selection will include;
Players Only will officially launch in Michigan after the ceremonial launch in Webber’s hometown of Detroit. The launch in Detroit will be accompanied by a limited edition collaboration that will bring the Players Only x Packwoods 2.5g Blunt to Michigan dispensaries.
