Downtown Los Angeles’ exclusive pizza joint, Stoney Slice, branched out into the cannabis realm to create authentic and savory weed-infused pizzas.
Although regulations, policies, and Covid-19 have all hindered Stoney Slice from opening a physical storefront, it’s still up-and-running for Los Angeles stoners via curbside pickup.
Founder and head chef Kashka Hopkinson said, “For pizza, the category doesn’t exist yet,” emphasizing the unique experience they have to offer. With help from their à la Naples wood fire over, Stoney Slice orders are made fresh, enough to bring any Italian chef to their knees, besides the potent edible factor.
Stoney Slice’s menu offers various pizzas and different, more elevated takes on classic hits. These include a traditional Margherita pizza with fresh Mozzarella and a light, basil-focussed sauce; a BBQ chicken pizza with homemade BBQ sauce and fresh cilantro; and a dessert pizza with a layer of marshmallows and weed-infused Nutella.
The best part about Stoney Slice is that they allow customers to request the edible strength they desire in each pizza, starting at 30 mg of THC and ranging up to 100mg. With the exception of medical cannabis patients and those with higher tolerances, chef Hopkinson told Forbes Contributor Lindsey Bartlett that he would make pizzas that extend the 100mg count for the reasons stated above.
