One of the best things about starting a new year in New York is the city’s renowned Restaurant Week. The successful venture is back with the newest restaurants and services, serving nothing but the cream of the crop.

This year’s first Restaurant Week NYC features more ethnic eateries and dishes than ever like Japanese, Chinatown, Malaysian, French, and Belgian. This year will also feature neighborhood-specific restaurants. Who can pass up a delicious three-course dinner at the best restaurants in New York for only $39?

Restaurant Week New York City lets its residents feast upon the best dishes in the city at bargain prices. The event runs twice a year in January/February and again in July/August. • Three-course prix-fixe meals at $29 (lunch) and $42 (dinner) do not include beverages, tips, and tax.
  • Most restaurants are only participating during weeknights, not busy weekends.
  • Be sure to check out the menus at each restaurant before heading down, as there are fewer choices on the Restaurant Week menu.
  • The slowest days are Monday to Wednesday.
  • Clarify that you’re booking for Restaurant Week when making a reservation.
  • Make sure to ask for a Restaurant Week menu when you’re being seated; some restaurants won’t give it to you unless you ask.
