Rapper and recording artist Drake recently signed on to back a popular Los Angeles-based chicken chain, Dave’s Hot Chicken.

The fast-casual food chain recently announced its attempt to broaden their horizons and open 30 new locations up north in Canada.

“I tried the food, and it was amazing,” Drake said while commenting on Dave’s Hot Chicken. “After meeting the founders and hearing their story, I jumped at the opportunity to invest.”

This isn’t the first time the CLB rapper has invested in the food world. This past May, he invested in the vegan brand Daring Foods, which will help the company expand into 4,500 stores across the country.

Drake also opened his own restaurant, Frings, back in 2015. The Toronto-based restaurant offers the best eats from acclaimed restaurateur and Top Chef Masters finalist Susur Lee.
