This Thing Rips!!
The negative reviews almost got me to not buy this, but I am glad I did. This device is the definition of 'bang for your buck'.
I am no dry herb vape pro but have used many different ones from friends, I am usually a combust smoker but decided to try dry herb vaping. I can say that I will most likely never go back to combustion smoking.
I smoke fairly heavily, this device is more or so micro dosing but I kind of dig it. I know they just released the Lobo and I might possibly order it soon but this device helps me save and conserve so much more than what I usually smoke.
I will get a lot of thumbs down but this thing rips as hard as some other vapes that are $200+. Also, some people complained about the flavor but I hit it on 340f and work up my way up...the flavor is amazing probably not as good as TM2 but for $100 cannot beat it.
Customer service is as expected from what everyone raves about. They are super on point and will help you out with no problems asked and make sure you are taken care of.
Thanks, POTV, for converting me to the Dry Herb Vape World!!
My favorite dry herb vape.
As the title says it’s hand down my favorite dry herb vape I own. I love the hand feel and how perfect it works with dry herb. I use this several times a day, and the battery life is great. I also have clumsy hands, and I’ve dropped it several times and it still works brilliantly (even in surprise).
First impression
Great product, as advertised.
Will fit well in my collection.
My first all convection device.
Dosing capsule will definitely help keep the unit clean
Thank you POTV !!!
True convection-just not perfection.
I’m forcing myself to like this; also been comparing it to the Boundless I had (probably an unfair comparison). This is the more pen-like design, but it’s bulky, so still not pocket size. The air path is in the sides, the mouthpiece doesn’t heat and the vapor is so cool I barely feel it. The taste is like regular herbs, either I’m not at the correct temperature for the flavor, or I have terrible taste ****. I hit between 180-195(Celsius) I start in the 160s and increase 10-15 degrees between sessions. I also mix/stir and that stick tip off the mouthpiece is VERY convenient. This device cleans EXTREMELY well too. Haven’t had to deep clean it just wipe it out and brush it.
So the deal breakers are the insecure lock-it’s magnetic but it doesn’t “lock”. It is loose and easily comes off. I’m not feeling this bulky size either. You gotta charge this daily and maybe more depending on usage. I may need a bigger oven or dosing capsules (this was missing mine) but I’m a heavy dosage toker. The brush it came with (not a deal breaker but) it’s so HARD AND ROUGH. Maybe vaping isn’t for me tho. I do enjoy that my herbs are truly decarb’d and ready to use for edibles!
Not a bad Product
I took into consideration buying this one because of the battery swapping. From what i can tell you can get larger clouds if you cover one side of the vent shafts. It almost has too much air flow to get decent hits. So, it gets cooled down too fast inside the chamber unless you take it nice and slow. That's where covering the vents helps without entirely restricting too much air flow. So I also go hotter that usual with this device to 404 degrees.
Great vaporizer, lousy battery!
Before discussing the vaporizer itself, I have to mention that exactly one week after I received my XMAX V3 Pro, the battery no longer recharges properly. It won't go past the 60% charge point regardless of how much time I give it. I've tried different chargers and cables and the charging icon just keeps flashing but never progresses past the three-bar level. I'm really afraid the battery will overheat as the vaporizer keeps "trying" to recharge it, so I plan to ditch this battery altogether (I'll recycle it properly!) as soon as I can get a new battery. What a waste of money and a perfectly good battery, but that's life.
I was planning to buy the exact same Samsung battery from POTV as a spare, but I no longer have any confidence in that unit and will pick up a couple on Amazon. It's a bummer that I have to pay extra to make my week-old vaporizer work properly but again, that's life. If the Amazon batteries also won't fully charge, I'll know the problem is with the XMAX itself and will pursue action with POTV.
It would be unfair to penalize the vaporizer because of a defective battery, so I have to admit it's a pretty awesome device and I'm having a lot of fun with it. It lives up to the sales pitch online and the brilliant accessory adapter opens up a world of possibilities. I do wish the herb chamber was bigger but as many other people have pointed out, if you use the dosing capsules you can pop them in and out to extend your session. I also agree 100% with the review above from George. It would be nice if the vibration was optional and while it's a really good idea in principle, I also don't trust the magnetic battery door so I use an elastic band to secure the door. Not pretty but effective.
I hope I can get past my battery issue and fully enjoy my VMAX V3 Pro and I hope you enjoy yours!
Good Vaporizer
This is my first herb vaporizer and it is honestly better than I expected. It's convenient, the hits are good when it heats up, and wow it heats up quickly. After a few weeks, I can say it's worth it. Hopefully it's durable long term too because you can swap the battery and that's usually the first component to go on portable electronics.
Amazing, best purchase ever!
I am beyond happy with my new vape. My herbs taste like never before. The battery is great. I went down one bar after taking it and using it all day at a music festival. Super easy to use, super easy to clean, and super delish. I’ll never combust again!
Heavy Smoker Approved
Love this thing. Sneak a **** of the present. Use it everywhere.
Fantastic vape!
This vape is my favorite. I have also had the Arizer Air 2, ... The interface on this one is much better, simply double-tap for on or off. The timer shut-off countdown display is great
Things I want to see improved:
- USB C is not truly USB C. It won't even charge with true USB C cables, it needs an older USB A to C which it comes with. This makes on-the-go charging hard
- the vibration feature should be optional
- the magnets, if they were like 20% harder, it would be better
-the battery door should be made more secure. It's a good start to a design it just needs to be made more solid, mostly because of the vibrator making a terrible rattling on each one I've purchased (the battery door is a little bit wiggly, enough to make noise)
I use my vape standalone, and I also hook it up to a bubbler with the adapter head. It's all really good, this is my favorite way to vape so far
I dislike brushed silver metal. It seems tacky or looks like it won't last. I also have black, which I prefer, the only downside is it's easier to lose
I'd like to see a revision 2 of this which fixes these issues, then it will literally be the perfect vape for me! I've been recommending it to people
