SFV OG is a sativa-dominant OG Kush offshoot. The intensely sweet, citrus, pine aroma accompanies a happy, upbeat, and deeply relaxing high.

SFV OG is short for San Fernando Valley OG, the birthplace of the strain. SFV is a variation of OG Kush bred by Cali Connection. SFV OG is popular all along the West Coast and features a THC content of  This strain has a child with a very similar name, SFV OG Kush.

Differentiating between SFV OG and SFV OG Kush can be tricky. These two strain names are often used interchangeably, but these are actually two distinct strains. SFG OG is thought to be the original version of the strain. SFV OG Kush is thought to be a cross between SFV OG and landrace indica Afghani.

While SFV OG Kush is classified as an indica strain, SFV OG is a sativa-dominant hybrid. SFV OG's effects are predominantly cerebral, creating a happy-go-lucky feeling of euphoria. Though, as a hybrid, a mellow and deeply relaxing body high accompanies the mental effects of this strain.

This strain is very popular among medical cannabis patients, including those seeking relief from muscle spasms, depression, and chronic pain. Those searching for relief from headaches and chronic stress also tend to appreciate this upbeat hybrid.

Growing Tips

This strain is an excellent candidate for screen of green (SCROG) techniques. It tends to be a bit of a tall plant, but it produces thick canopies when trained right. Outdoors, SFV OG appreciates a dry, temperate climate. This strain tends to love a lot of water and ample nutrients. This strain likes to lay down some roots, so outdoors in open soil is a great option for SFV OG. Expect flowers to bulk up a couple weeks before harvest.
