Sweeten up life's sour moments at Sugar Factory.
When your sweet tooth doesn’t shut up, it’s up to you to decide how to handle it. You could opt for naturally sweet fruit, but when you’re in New York City, why not go all out?
Going “all-out” is the norm for Sugar Factory. It’s an incredibly popular and renowned restaurant that’s known for its extravagant, sugary eats.
It’s worth noting that making reservations at Sugar Factory was incredibly easy. It uses OpenTable to make the experience as effortless as possible.
Getting to the restaurant was a tad difficult, considering it’s in quite a popular area. But once we got there, our eyes were set on the impressive menu that had everything from burgers and pizzas to sweet and savory crepes.
It wouldn’t be a Herb Plated feature if we didn’t tie in the green somewhere down the line. Before my girls and I sat down at Sugar Factory, we took advantage of New York’s recent recreational legalization and picked up a few pre-rolls from one of the many “weed trucks.”
There aren’t any legal dispensaries in the city just yet, so our options were limited. The weed was okay, definitely not exceptional, but it did the job and hit us with the munchies.
Strolling into Sugar Factory, our eyes instantly locked onto the portrait-packed walls featuring everyone from Kim Kardashian to Willy Wonka holding up the renowned Couture Pops. Once we sat down, our gaze shifted over to the overflowing menu.

That joint from the weed truck had my stomach grumbling for something savory before I tried the renowned sugary confections. We started with a charcuterie board to share amongst the three of us.
It came with salami, prosciutto, pepperoni, cheddar, baked brie (chefs kiss), provolone, pickles, toasted walnuts, berries, honey, strawberry jam, dijon mustard, and a toasted baguette.
It was the perfect, delicious, and savory segue into our main courses.

I’m a natural fiend for pasta. With eight stellar options on the menu, I had to give it a shot.
I ordered the Cajun Chicken Penne Alfredo, and is it odd to say it was life-changing? By that, I mean I simply can’t order alfredo pasta anywhere else after experiencing the rich and authentic flavors of this dish.
The Cajun spin on this traditional pasta was so impressive; it came with fresh basil, roasted garlic, and parmesan cheese. After my last bite, my girls and I were ready to see if the sugary eats lived up to the Sugar Factory’s name.

I have to mention that Sugar Factory’s dessert menu is exceptional. They have everything to satisfy your sweet tooth and tons more. From crepes and waffles to traditional sundaes and milkshakes, making a decision was pretty tough.
After a few intense minutes, I ordered the Nutella Banana Milkshake from the “Insane Milkshakes” section. It wasn’t only larger than life, but it was so pleasing to the eye.
It came with vanilla ice cream blended with Nutella and sliced bananas, topped with whipped cream, a chocolate-dipped banana, a unicorn lollipop, a candy necklace, and served in a chocolate-covered mug with rainbow sprinkles.
Insane is the best way to put it. I did have to hand it over to my friends for some help finishing it, but we all agreed that you simply wouldn’t find milkshakes like this anywhere else.
Whether you’re a fan of savory crepes or traditional cheesecake, Sugar Factory has it all.
With locations in Las Vegas, New York City, Bahrain, Chicago, Miami, and Orlando, we know fellow stoners will be quick to reserve a table.
