The VP-100 Vaporizer from Top Vapor is arguably the most affordable desktop vaporizer available today. Although it is selling for a fraction of the price of the top desktop vaporizers available today, it does a good job of preserving the flavor of your herb and gives you nice clouds.

The VP-100 may not be as sophisticated as high-end desktop vaporizers, but it does what it is supposed to do. This is an entry-level vaporizer with a simple design, and it is perfect for newbies and anyone on a tight budget. 

The Top Vapor VP-100 is a classic whip-style vaporizer. It is extremely easy to use, and there’s virtually no learning curve with this device. The VP-100 has a beautiful wooden frame and is quite portable.

This device is made with a wooden frame, making it look more like a drawer or a storage box than a vaporizer.

On the front of the wooden frame, you’ll find the ceramic heating chamber as well as an LED digital display and buttons for controlling the settings of the device. You have complete control of the temperature of the device.

That’s just about the only thing you can control on this vaporizer. The temperature reading is Fahrenheit. So, if you aren’t conversant with Fahrenheit, you’ll need to have a Celsius to Fahrenheit converter to use this device.

In addition to the box-shaped vaporizer, you get a tube made of food-grade silicone. At one end of the tube, there is a borosilicate glass mouthpiece. And, on the other end, there is a heating chamber with a screen and vapor path made of borosilicate. The device comes with three extra screens, but it is complicated to replace them.

Thankfully, it is super easy to clean the heating chamber because the glass compartments are fully detachable from the silicone tube.

The Top Vapor VP-100 is designed for vaping dry herb, and it is not compatible with concentrates, and that’s one of the biggest cons of this device. But for its affordable price, we don’t have any complaints. This vaporizer comes with a ceramic heating chamber, which means that it vaporizes your herb at a consistent temperature and produces flavorful clouds.

The VP-100 is very sturdy and will last you for a long time. It is quite tiny, which means it doesn’t take up a lot of space on your desk. The vaporizer is suitable for vaping alone, having a session with your friends, or even for parties.

As indicated above, the Top Vapor VP-100 is very easy to use. The first thing you need to do when you get the device is to turn it on, set it to 400°F and let it heat up for at least 30 minutes to clear up all the residual oils in the heating elements before you start vaping.

The VP-100 doesn’t come with a battery, and you need to plug it into an electrical outlet to use the device. When you plug it in, the backlit digital screen comes on and shows the temperature level of the device. You can control the temperature by pressing the up and down button on the right side of the screen.

When the device is turned on, you will notice a green light next to the steadily blinking screen. The blinking light indicates that the temperature has not been set. Once you choose your desired temperature and press the Set button, the green light stops blinking, and the heating elements start to ramp up.

Once you’re reading to vape, set your desired temperature and allow the device to preheat. It takes about 40 seconds to 3 minutes for the preheating to be complete. The temperature of the VP-100 can go as high as 500°F. We recommend you stay under 350°F for the best results. However, once you’re used to this device, you can choose any temperature that works best for you.

Next, get your weed and grind it with a grinder. Avoid grinding it too fine, so it doesn’t fall through the filter screen in the herb chamber. When your herb is ready, load it in the herb chamber. Do not overstuff the herb chamber.

We recommend putting around one gram of herb at a time. Ensure it is packed well and won’t tip over and fall on the ceramic heating element when connecting it to the device. If the herb touches the ceramic heating element, it will burn.

Check and confirm that the preheating is complete, then attach the herb chamber to the ceramic heating element and start puffing. It may take up to 10 or 15 puffs to start getting the full flavor of your herb. The VP-100 doesn’t produce thick clouds, and you’ll get airy vapor clouds from this device.

After a while, you will notice the herb closest to the heating element starts to become brown. This is normal. Just stir the herb a bit, reattach the whip and continue vaping.

Do not attempt to refill the herb chamber immediately after vaping, or you could burn yourself because it gets very hot.

Overall, the Top Vapor VP-100 is a simple device. This is a good vaporizer for first-timers who are trying to get a hang of desktop vaporizers.
