Yocan Stix Review: How To Use, Pros & Cons

Come sail away with a puff on the light, durable, and powerful Stix.

If you enjoy vaping cannabis oil and e-liquids, the Stix offers a cheap, strong, and conveniently sized vape pen that is great for on-the-go or lounging around.

Also, if you are in need of an extra battery that is likely to become your most dependable battery for vaping any 510 thread cartridge out there.

About Yocan

Operating out of Shenzhen, China, Yocan has been continually delivering on their goal of producing high quality products for affordable prices since its inception in 2013. They intend on helping individuals who might not have the resources to buy expensive devices by making strong, durable items at lower prices.

Design & Features

You’ll get plenty of flavor from this vape that features a ceramic chamber mouthpiece that delivers the smoke directly from the source, ensuring you inhale the pure flavors of the oil. The chamber also serves as the mouthpiece and has a capacity of 0.6 ML. One negative aspect of the Stix has been in regards to the mouthpiece being made of plastic rather than glass.

The bottom of the pen has a micro USB insert that makes charging easy and convenient. The 320 mAH battery offers 3 power settings to adjust the temperature to your liking. The red light indicates that you’re using the lowest power setting, while green is the medium setting and blue is high.

This might be a little different than you’re used to, with red being the common color for the highest temperature on most other vape pens.

The ceramic atomizer and plastic cap screw onto the 510 thread battery like a regular cartridge. The Stix has been known to be leak-proof and safe for the active stoner. It also comes in black, silver, orange, blue, and red.

How To Use

The bag has detailed instructions on using the device, but it’s similar to many other batteries where you’ll click the button 5 times to power on/off and 3 times to change the power level.

You can load your oils and e-liquid into the chamber by unscrewing the atomizer and pouring your desired liquid into the mouthpiece. Then, screw the atomizer back onto the mouthpiece upside down to ensure no leakage. You can then flip it around and screw it onto the battery.

The plastic chamber comes with a screw-on cap in case you want to load up a few chambers and pack on the go for any festivals or daily adventures that would require more than one bowl.

Performance & Vapor Quality

The battery strength has surprised users who say that the Stix has become their favorite source of power for vaping with the attached chamber or any cartridge available from a dispensary.

This battery is the one that you can depend on when your others are acting up. Always providing a strong hit and lasting longer than your average vape battery, the Stix has a great chance to make it to the front of your rotation.

Cleaning and Maintenance

As long as you charge your vape pen whenever it requires it, and don’t handle it too roughly, it should last quite some time delivering the strong hits you’ll become familiar with.

Cleaning the mouthpiece/chamber and atomizer should be done by soaking them in isopropyl alcohol and rubbing off any junk that sticks around with a cotton swab or pipe cleaner.

Yocan has also recommended a process that would eliminate any residue that might stick around on the ceramic coils. In order to clean these coils, turn the device on and remove the mouthpiece. Then, turn it upside down and hold the button down for 10 seconds.

This should melt away any of that sticky stuff that clings to the coils after use.

Yocan Stix Pros & Cons

Deciding whether or not the Stix is right for you will not be the biggest decision you’ll have today. It’s a cheaper option and when it comes to vape batteries, you can never have too many.

This vape’s strong battery produces great clouds and lasts a while before needing to recharge. Like any device, there are the good and bad parts that we’ll review.
