Effortless, capable, and comes in handy with its rapid heating time. It may not be the sexiest dry herb vape out there, but it is definitely up there in quality and it’s affordable! This Boundless CFX Portable Vaporizer review will hopefully give you all you need to know to help make your next vape decision.

Not the most subtle appearance, it will definitely be noticed in crowded places. Although simple and sophisticated, this Boundless CFX Vaporizer is almost decently pocket-sized, so long as you don’t need to fit anything else in that pocket.

You’re better off tossing it in your bag, don’t worry it won’t get lost in there. This tough design is perfect for my morning hikes, weekend raves, and at-home Netflix, and chill nights. With its textured grooves, it’s easy to keep in handy (pun intended).

Dual charging ports, 5-minute auto shut-off, and 90 minutes of continuous life. I can dig it. Plug this Boundless into the wall and you’ll see it jump from zero to full in under an hour! Of course, USB is a tad slower, but still, less than three hours is pretty damn good. Careful not to overcharge, take care of the powerful 2500mAh battery and the battery can take care of you.

This powerful little dual battery comes in handy for small group sessions and all-day events. The USB capability makes it super easy to charge it with any portable charger. How convenient is it that your CFX can charge up while you’re deciding what to get in line at Taco Bell, or Del Taco, no judgment.

The Boundless is perfect for those at-home sessions and outdoor days, picnics, hikes, and my favorite camping. With this rugged design, resembling an iPhone in an older Otterbox, you can take this vaporizer almost anywhere. Don’t forget to grab your portable charger, with dual charging ports, you’ve got options to keep the party going.

Like many of the fabulous dry herb vapes out there, the Boundless CFX produces more clouds at higher temps. Just watch out, too much heat might be a bit harsh. Lower temperatures tend to have smoother hits and lighter clouds which is perfect for microdosing and a bit more flavor. 

At first, I was worried it might get too hot or burn out the flavor, but the heating chamber is actually made from real ceramic with a fully isolated air-path. When the air gets pulled into the gadget, the convection heater starts first working together with the secondary heater to steadily vaporize your weed at your desired temperature. Making for an epic sesh.

The higher conduction portion of the heating mechanism tends to diminish the flavor as the session continues. The complete temperature control ranges from 100-430°F (40°C –  220°C). You can even choose between Fahrenheit and Celsius.

With a larger bowl, you can even fit more than a full gram of ganja. That does not necessarily mean fill it up each time, you can control your dosing and not worry about overheating or underpacking. It works with concentrates too, but the clean-up is a bit more detailed.

You’re going to make sure you have your weed broken up and ready to load into the chamber. Remove the mouthpiece and add your herbs. Once your cannabis is packed, reattach the mouthpiece and press the power button 5 times.

The digital display will turn on with the Boundless logo and start heating up right away. I find this very helpful as there are not many auto heating vaporizers out there, it’s great in a rush.

The haptic feedback will give you a buzz when your vape is ready for a toke. This is great because I tend to forget what I am doing while my other vapes are heating up. So the buzz is a nice touch.

Take a nice long slow hit and really taste the terpenes. Savor it now because after the session we’re going to clean it out for the next round. Suggestions could be to clean after three sessions, but I like to take care of my vapes.

The cleaning process is fairly simple. Detach the mouthpiece and with the little cleaning brush, scrape out the cargo. After a couple of uses, it’s super easy to clean out the chamber. Just dip a cotton swab in some isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) and wipe it clean. 

The o-ring is removable as well for the extra detailed cleaning. If the mouthpiece starts getting sticky, worry not, soak it in some isopropyl alcohol for a couple of minutes and just take it apart (yes it’s meant to do that) then wipe it clean with some more alcohol and a cotton swab.

In terms of design, not as sleek as PAX 3 or DaVinci IQ2, but more compact than the Crafty+. The Boundless CFX, pricing at $170, is a great vape for beginners and pros alike. If you’re looking for quality and affordability, can’t go wrong with the Boundless CFX!
