1 slice hearty whole-grain bread - Sprouted grains if you can as they provide a total nutrient availability upgrade. This means you are getting more nutrition bang for your buck. Worth it!
1/4 cup vegan mayo - I recommend Just Mayo or Veganaise brand, both are super tasty and very close to the real deal
2 tbsp Hempseed Pesto
2 tsp Hempseeds
In a small bowl add the vegan mayo and hempseed pesto. Stir until beautifully green and evenly combined. Hold in fridge.
Toast your slice of whole-grain bread. Spread with the pesto mayo and sprinkle with hempseeds. Enjoy!
If available where you live, add a thick slice of fresh tomato on top of the pesto mayo. The tomato adds a wonderful savory flavor along with the very beneficial phytochemical lycopene (hello heart health!)
