Dave Chappelle is back and ready to talk politics

Finally, after much anticipation, Dave Chappelle is back on television. During Saturday Night Live’s first episode since Donald Trump’s victory, Chappelle had a few things to say about America and the election.

Immediately, he starts the show off by saying he didn’t know that Hillary would lose the election. However, he also says he did suspect it because he knows ‘how the whites can be’. Therefore, Trump’s victory came as no surprise to Chappelle.

Further into the episode, Chappelle discusses white Americans and the anti-Trump protests,

I watched a white riot in Portland, Oregon on television the other night. News said they did a million dollars worth of damage. Every black person’s watching that like, ‘Amateurs’.

While hosting, Chappelle also throws a diss at America’s new president,

“America’s done it. We’ve actually elected an internet troll as our president.”

Although Chappelle isn’t exactly happy about Trump’s win, he still wishes Trump luck and is willing to give him a chance. However, he also demands that he give the world one too. Don’t forget to check out Dave Chappelle’s return to television in the video below.
