The twice-a-year festival returns this weekend to showcase the strongest local up-and-coming acts.
This month will mark the two-year anniversary of the first gathering at the Joshua Tree Music Festival. “We’ve truly missed the beautiful oasis of your smiling faces, and look forward to reconnecting and revitalizing,” said the festival’s website.
The four-day twice-a-year festival lands in the great outdoors with an intimate and up close and personal setting. Festival-goers have said that the distinction between artist and audience is often blurred, allowing for passionate, raw, and heartfelt performances.

This year, the festival is from October 7-10. Here’s a quick list of some names featured in this year’s lineup:
Thursday – Smoked Out Soul and Father Taj
Friday – Moontricks, Collectivity, and Honeywild
Saturday – Orgone, Mike Love, and The Dogon Lights
Sunday – Dirtwire and Gabrielle Evaro
