Stephen Colbert: Welcome To The First Church of Cannabis

Last week, Steven Colbert took on the Indianapolis-based, “Church Of Cannabis” in his adorably snarky tone we’ve all come to love. He begins his segment by saying he’s on the fence about weed by pantomiming a bong rip with suspicious accuracy.

Colbert goes on to assert the pot-loving church’s origin is…

“…Named of course after the long-forgotten 13th apostle Saint Cannabis, who fell asleep on the couch and missed the last supper.”

Clearly he is poking fun at the stereotypical depiction of a stoner but we have to hand it to him: He’s not too far off the mark.

And anyway look at these people! They’re dancing and tossing around balloons. How fun is that? Sign us up! Maybe we’ll even provide goodies for the next bake sale 😉
