We’ve come to love Eaze for its fast, efficient, and painless delivery services. Not to mention the variety of products their website carries; Eaze has become the leading cannabis delivery service in the nation. Yesterday, BusinessWire published that Eaze opened applications for its business accelerator program called Momentum, which helps develop underrepresented cannabis businesses in the U.S.

The award-winning program is now inviting BIPOC, women, LGBTQ+, and military veterans who’ve founded their own cannabis business to apply here. Momentum is heading into its third year and initially launched back in 2019 to support Eaze’s mission to deliver goods and support communities affected by the war on drugs. Since then, Momentum has helped and welcomed Black, Poc, female, and veteran founders from states like New York, New Jersey, Michigan, and California.

The program has seen vast success and is reflected in its awards from WeedWeek and LA Weekly for making a positive impact on social equity. Momentum was also a finalist in this year’s Fast Company’s World-Changing Ideas. “As Eaze’s footprint continues to grow beyond California, we’re focused on helping even more women and founders of color break into the cannabis industry,” said Eaze’s Director of Social Impact, Jennifer Lujan. “Getting a foot in the door is often harder for these founders, so we encourage applicants across the country to apply now.”

This year, each member participating in Momentum’s 2022 class will receive a grant of $50,000, participate in a 12-week curriculum hosted by 70 volunteer experts, and also gain access to Eaze’s resources in terms of business development, marketing, and retail. During the program’s conclusion, business founders will pitch to industry-defining cannabis investors to see if they have what it takes to raise more funds.

“Through grants, mentorship, education, and more, Momentum represents an ecosystem of passionate entrepreneurs, advisors, and industry professionals working together to build an inclusive industry!” said Vertosa’s chief innovation officer and member of Momentum’s advisory board, Austin Stevenson.

Momentum wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for the support given by brands like Everyday, Cloud, Vertosa, CANN, Leune, and Country Cannabis. Not to mention their generous media partnerships with Becker Boards Brooklyn Outdoor, Bulletin Displays, Cannabis Now, and CannaVu. If you’re not fully convinced, 100% of Momuntem alumni say their business grew thanks to the program, while they also reported recommending Momentum to other entrepreneurs.

Eaze employees put their heart and soul into the program and dedicated over 1200 hours to volunteering with Momentum alongside 85 industry leaders who’ve served as mentors for the participants. If you own/founded a cannabis business, make sure you’re licensed by all jurisdictions before applying.
