The latest collaboration from McDonald's brings back the nostalgic Happy Meal experience for adults.
McDonald‘s wants you to be a kid again. Rummaging through your Happy Meal to tear open a new toy for your collection.
This time around, McDonald‘s is blessing adults with their very own Happy Meal, one that streetwear fanatics and hypebeasts might want to know more about.
Besides the iconic toys making a comeback from McDonald‘s family of figurines like Grimace, The Hamburglar, and Birdie, there’s a newcomer named Cactus Buddy. He comes from none other than the elusive streetwear brand, Cactus Plant Flea Market.
You might have seen the brand’s apparel sell for a pretty penny on various online marketplaces, not to mention its involvement with figures like Kanye West and Pharrell Williams.
Starting October 3, McDonald‘s will sell the Cactus Plant Flea Market Box in collaboration with the streetwear brand. The fast food chain partnering with high-profile brands and celebrities is nothing new, which we saw with Travis Scott, BTS, Saweetie, and many more.
The Cactus Plant Flea Market Box is a Big Mac or 10-Piece McNugget meal with fries, a beverage, and a familiar toy with two pairs of eyes, a design from the streetwear brand.
It comes in a nostalgic lunchbox-like McDonald‘s box that will send you on a stroll down memory lane.
McDonald‘s USA chief marketing and customer experience officer, Tariq Hassan, stated in a release that bringing back the nostalgic Happy Meal for adults in collaboration with Cactus Plant Flea Market is “hyper-relevant,” and we couldn’t agree more.
Of course, a merch line would be legendary, but we’ll settle for Cactus Buddy for now. The new Cactus Plant Flea Market Box from McDonald‘s will be available throughout the United States at participating locations starting October 3.
