Here’s What You Missed At This Year’s Business Of Cannabis: New York

It's never too early to grab your tickets for next year.

New York’s cannabis space has been quite busy this month. For starters, the state’s Office of Cannabis Management announced the first 36 retail licenses.

This long-awaited announcement comes on the heels of the second annual Business of Cannabis: New York conference, which saw industry leaders from far and wide gather to share ideas, collaborate, and exchange ways we can improve New York’s cannabis scene.

Over 400 attendees participated in this year’s successful Business of Cannabis event on November 3.

Powered by Prohibition Partners, Business of Cannabis launched in 2017 with the mission to join entrepreneursconsumers, retailers, and industry leaders across North America to find solutions to ensure New York’s cannabis market is thriving from all angles.

The cannabis industry platform specializes in marrying elements of the sector, including:

  • News
  • Video
  • Podcasts
  • Newsletters
  • Online events
  • Real-world events

Business of Cannabis has become the number one outlet for showcasing cannabis companies, brands, leaders, and trends that are advancing our unique industry.

The event took place at the New York Academy of Medicine and saw movers and shakers discuss the industry’s changes throughout the last year as well as the opportunities that followed.

Everyone from Crystal Peoples-Stokes (NYS Assembly Majority Leader) to Tremaine Wright (Chair of the New York Cannabis Control Board) gave their two cents and provided practical solutions and insights to elevate New York’s cannabis space.

Is it a coincidence that the NYS Office of Cannabis Management finally announced the first 36 cannabis retail licenses roughly two weeks after the event? Possibly, but one thing’s for sure, Business of Cannabis events are an essential part of our modern industry to gather like-minded people and spur positive change.

It’s not every day that powerful and influential people in cannabis gather in the same room to share ideas and discuss ways to improve this sector. Whether you’re a consumer, retailer, intern, or CEO, anyone in the cannabis space can benefit from the insightful and enlightening information provided at Business of Cannabis events.

It’s never too early to grab your tickets for next year! The 2023 Business of Cannabis: New York conference will take place on October 4 at the New York Academy of Medicine, 1216 5th Ave, New York.
