The beginning of basketball season is fast approaching. On Tuesday, Oct. 19, the 2021-22 season will kick off with two highly anticipated games.

The four teams to kickstart the season will be those with the best chances of winning the title. At 7:30 pm EDT, the reigning champs Milwaukee Bucks will host the Brooklyn Nets. The second game is none other than the Los Angeles Lakers against the Golden State Warriors at 7:00 pm PST.

After winning the 2020 title, the Lakers are the Nets’ biggest threat, especially after Los Angeles traded for Russell Westbrook following a first-round playoff exit. After injuries abound, LeBron James and Anthony Davis will shoot hoops together for the third season in Los Angeles.

The Golden State Warriors also have some high expectations to meet, seeing that they didn’t make the playoffs for two years in a row. Klay Thompson is expected to return after his initial injury against the Toronto Raptors, which led him to miss two seasons in a row.

On Oct. 20, twenty-two NBA teams will start their seasons, while the following four teams will make their seasonal debut on Oct. 21.
