A great vape! Just be careful when using the WPA.
This vaporizer has been great! I have used it for a few weeks now, and these are my thoughts:
Pros:
- swappable battery
- on demand and session mode
- able to be used with POTV dosing capsules for smaller bowls
- great flavor
- WPA available
- usbc charging
- 1 degree increments
- LED screen
Cons:
- when using the WPA, it can get stuck and the top comes off of the vaporizer due to the magnetic connection. If you are using dosing capsules, this is especially dangerous, as it can fall out and burn you. Make sure you keep your pinky under the WPA when using it!
- not a huge amount of airflow (if you like alot of airflow)
Overall its a fantastic vape for the price, I would highly recommend it!
Portable vape
The Xmax V3 is a decent vaporizer and I recommend it if portability is important to you.. It’s nice to be able to carry a spare battery in your pocket as well.
The Arizer Solo 2 I also own and it's superior in some respects to the
Xmax being that it's far easier to clean! Basically, it's only the glass tubes
that get fouled up and need cleaning, not the unit itself.
Great device for the price
The v3 Pro is super convenient and packs a nice punch, I haven't left home without it since I got it! The battery life is ridiculous, I can easily get 2 days on a full charge, the vapor is thick and tasty in session or on demand mode. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the stock mouthpiece. The ceramic insert does a good job of cooling the vapor, IMO it tastes better than the stock mouthpiece from a Fury Edge /POTV ONE, but still not as good as something like a Dynavap. If they included either the glass mouthpiece or the wpa in the box, then I would probably give it 5 stars.
Love it!
I already had pretty **** expectations and this beautiful little thing exceeded them. It's ridiculously awesome for the price. The on demand mode is fantastic and gets to 175C in 10s flat. Also love the shape and overall design. The only minor flaws imo is the magnetic battery cover that's a bit too easy to pop off and the great shape makes it pretty tall.
Really like it
I really like this vape. It has great hand feel and works great with dosing cups. I like the fact that you can regulate the air intake to get a more dense hit by partially covering up the vent on one side with your thumb.
It heats up quickly and hits well.
One issue is using the "stirring tool" to clean after use. Use a metal tool instead, if the chamber is hot it can melt the end of the stirrer. The mouthpiece is firmly held with magnets and is really easy to clean the cooling insert works really well delivering clean cool vapor.
I have a POTV One that has been my go-to unit for a couple of years preferring it over my PAX3 that is currently holding down the bottom of my drawer (didn't care for it, I found it too cumbersome to juggle with my phone to get any kind of control and it didn't hit well). In fact, I still use my One even though I have to use electrical tape to hold the mouthpiece on because I have not been able to get a WP adapter for my XMax due to supply problems, but when I do, I think it will replace my 'One' for use with my bubbler. Thinking of buying a second unit to carry around.
Not My Favorite
I purchased this nifty vape a couple years ago. Pros: heats up quickly, stylish, easy to clean. Cons: Gets too hot and you can’t change the length of a session. I thought the dosage pods were going to be great, but I feel like I hardly get anything out of them. I keep going back to my old Arizer.
It's decent, but it's not the One
I like so many things about the XMAX v3 Pro: the replaceable battery, the replaceable stems with so many cool options, the idea of using capsules to reduce the mess and make it super-easy to standardize my dose sizes, the option for on-demand use instead of continuing to cook my **** after I set it down and forget it's still on, and the of course the beautiful teal colour.
As I was using it, though, I realized something about it that I don't particularly like: the ******* form factor really made me not want to use this in front of other people. This wasn't a deal-breaker, though, and I still would've given it four out of five stars... until...
I set this vape down somewhere one day, and was unable to find it for awhile. When I was about to go on a trip where I knew I'd want to be vaping, I ordered a different vape, cleverly choosing one that uses the same stems and capsules: the POTV One. Much to my surprise, the One blew the XMAX out of the water! I had no idea vapes were capable of such dense clouds, and for so many puffs! I feel like a capsule lasts twice as long in the One as it does in the XMAX v3 Pro; I'm not sure if that's entirely true, but it certainly seems that way! Thus, I have to take off another star from this one, because it simply doesn't compare to The One.
This is still a pretty good vape though, from my limited experience: it seems better than the bottom-of-the-line random vape I bought years ago, at least.
I'm actually using this more often than the One, for two main reasons. Firstly, sometimes I just want a light puff that isn't going to kick me hard, and which isn't going to have me exhaling very obvious clouds. And I do love the on-demand feature, and need to remember to use it more often instead of letting my **** turn to vapour and waste away if (when) I forget it's there.
But the main reason I choose this one more often than the other is because I know the battery life in the One is limited. I don't want to waste that non-removable battery, when I have a perfectly decent vape with a removable battery instead! Plus, I'm determined to get my money's worth out of this vape and the replacement battery that I got for it.
All in all, I'm glad I have both, and I'm glad the stems and capsules work in both, so even if something happens to one of the two vapes, I can use the parts in the other.
Works well but…
First of all I’ve been using this particular vape regularly for the past 9 months(isn’t my sole vape). I’ve learned not to overstuff and all the little tweaks for one’s own eternal happiness. Only two gripes. Mmmmmmm…gripes. I hope there’s been a change made to the strength of the magnet. My 2023 version is clunky since day one , the top wobbles and doesn’t feel secure so you must hold it awkwardly. The other is airflow. I keep a clean vape but the flow still is just a tad too little even unloaded.
Now the great parts! The choice on session or demand is fantastic! The heating speed is fast, fast, fast. The ONE is fast but this sucker takes around 20-35 seconds to heat up to 360F depending on charge I think.
So there you go.
It is good but ONE was better.
I ordered this after my ONE stopped working (issue was fixed by their customer service) just for the sake of trying something new. Battery life is awesome no doubt but cover of the battery is loose due to which it is not comfortable in handling. I tried using the same temperature I used in ONE for dried herb her, but the flavour was too strong gave me headache, and when I decreased the temperature I couldn’t taste of flavour. I guess I need to figure out the temperature on this vape. I personally will vote for ONE over this.
Great flavor
It has great flavor and half decent clouds. I did not like the sound of the haptic feedback made the cover of the battery vibrate making a cheap tinny sound and the mouth piece wobbled on the vape once hot. The pods are a great idea but are so small I was afraid of loosing parts (almost did a couple times).
All in all it did its job, vape out the good stuff, but just not sure it would last me. Maybe I got a dud.
