"Smoke Two Joints" with Sublime's new cannabis products.
California’s own reggae-punk band, Sublime, is about to launch its brand of cannabis products that were designed to focus on the healing power and benefits of the plant.
It’s about time a band that’s incorporated its love for cannabis into countless songs launched a Cali-based brand that we know consumers and Sublime fans will love. The band had entered an exclusive partnership with Costa Mesa-based licensed cannabis manufacturer The Healing Plant, which will produce and distribute the line throughout the state’s southern regions.
As per Forbes, the current launch date for Sublime-branded cannabis products is sometime this summer. In a press release regarding the new line, Sublime drummer Bud Gaugh was eager to inform the public about the band’s weed. “I mean, what more needs to be said other than light ’em up!.”

Sublime saw its big break in 1992 when it released the hit “Smoke Two Joints,” featuring all sorts of cannabis-friendly sound effects like lighter sparks and bong tokes. So it was only a matter of time for a band so big on weed to venture into the booming industry.
The product line is still in the works, but interviews and press releases all explain the wide-ranging goods that consumers will obtain, all focused on the beneficial healing properties of marijuana. Lead singer and guitarist Bradley Nowell passed away in 1996, but his widow Troy denDekker is eagerly on board, sharing with Forbes that the new line will “consist of not only what is wanted but what is needed to help heal!”
Finding the right partner who understood and supported Sublime’s legacy was essential for the band to carry out cannabis products, and they were thrilled to hear back from The Healing Plant. Through the new partnership, Sublime is happy to work alongside Robert Taft, Jr. and his company, both on a mission to shed light on the medicinal value of cannabis.

This summer, Sublime-branded products will be available at select dispensaries on their stomping grounds in southern California, through cities like Long Beach, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and the Inland Empire.
There’s no word on when the products will reach northern California, but The Healing Plant is currently looking for a licensed distribution partner to launch the line in Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay Area. v
