Seth Rogen’s Houseplant Launches Package Redesign That Look Like LEGO Bricks

The new LEGO-like product packaging is 100% recyclable, with hopes consumers may want to reuse these unique, colorful tins.

Stackable, colorful, and if you stepped on it, you’d probably scream, Seth Rogen’s cannabis brand Houseplant just redesigned its packaging to resemble LEGO bricks.

Since Houseplant took the California market by storm with help from co-founder and writing partner Evan Goldberg and the previous partnership with Canopy Growth, Rogen has expanded operations to add decor-centered products like block lighters, ashtrays, and ceramics.

Houseplant’s new packaging redesign was created by Pràctica, an international architecture and design firm, alongside Ma-Ma, a multidisciplinary design studio based in New York City, reports The Growth Op.

Because there’s always a new cannabis business or product to try in legal markets throughout North America, it’s not uncommon for some to get lost in the mix. And although celebrity brands have the advantage of establishing a business based on fame, it looks like Rogen wants to create more brand recognition, identity, and innovation.

However, it was more than just aesthetics and branding for Houseplant. The new LEGO-like, stackable packages were designed to be reused over time.

According to The Growth Op, Pràctica co-founder Javier Arizu explains, “We wanted to leverage Houseplant’s playful identity and design as something that could be collected and reused…The stackable nature of the jar was conceptualized with this in mind.”

Each package is 100% recyclable, and each container has a label wrap made from cardstock paper. Besides being sustainable, which is a huge plus in our industry that’s constantly in need of materials and resources for products, the new redesign will hopefully help Houseplant stand out from competitors in the saturated market.

Houseplant’s new redesigned packages are currently available in selected dispensaries throughout California.
