Picture this: 7,000 people lighting up at the exact same moment. It’s not Woodstock. It’s the reality of this past weekend at Hall of Flowers, the cannabis industry’s premier trade show.
Rolling paper legends, OCB decided to make their debut at the event unforgettable by setting a new world record for the most joints lit at once. Hall of Flowers is known for bringing together the best of the best in cannabis. And this year, OCB stole the show with an idea that truly defined the essence of community.
They transformed the event into a massive smoke session, but with a twist—this one was going in the record books.
This was OCB’s first time at Hall of Flowers. Talk about making an entrance. Marketing director Andrew Osterman gave us the inside scoop on their plan.
“We wanted to do something big,” he told us. “We looked around and thought, ‘What could we celebrate as a community that would bring us all together?'” That’s when they realized there wasn’t a record for the most joints lit at the same time. Challenge accepted.
OCB stacked the Hall of Flowers lounge area with papers and cones, encouraging everyone to roll up and get ready. When the clock struck 4:20, 7,000 lighters sparked, drones flew overhead, and the atmosphere got a bit heavier…literally.

We could say, “These aren’t your grandpa’s rolling papers,” but we might be wrong. OCB was born in 1918. They’re also the only rolling paper brand with its own paper mill, sitting pretty on Lake Léman (Lake Geneva) in the foothills of the French Alps. In fact, their rolling paper booklets were invented in 1838.
And who was most impressed by this? Actor, writer, and co-founder of Houseplant, Seth Rogen. OCB sent him all their products, from classic white papers to sustainable options like bamboo and brown rice. After trying them all, Seth picked the bamboo, brown rice, and classic white for the collab.
Andrew even took Seth on a tour of OCB’s paper mill and booklet factory. “He was blown away by the precision engineering,” Andrew told us. “He got to touch and feel the bamboo before it was made into rolling papers.”
After making history at Hall of Flowers, OCB is fired up to keep the momentum going in the US market.
“We’ve been here for 10 years, but we’re really trying to make an effort to join the community and be a part of it,” Andrew said. “That’s why we’re here at Hall of Flowers.”
