Herb Plated: Philthy Philly’s

Nothing tops a melty, decadent Philly Cheesesteak when you get the munchies.

Philthy Philly’s has some of Canada’s finest sandwiches and poutine for you to savor one of America’s staple dishes. This franchise brings authentic Philadelphia cuisine and great poutine to many locations in Canada.

Philthy Philly’s Cheesesteak and Poutinerie opened in Newmarket, Ontario in 2014. Ever since, they have opened eleven other locations, bringing the great flavor of a Philly Cheesesteak to many places in Canada. Hopefully, there will soon be new locales opening in the Northeast USA to further expand the Philthy experience.

This restaurant chain grew quickly through franchises and has been growing even during the pandemic. New locations in Cambridge bloomed in the pandemic due to the franchise owner’s innovation and perseverance. Not wanting to only rely on the regular options, he experiments with limited-time specials

You can find Philthy Philly’s in many locations from Newmarket to Pickering and Whitby to Mississauga. You can also find Philthy Philly’s Food Trucks at many food truck festivals around Toronto, Mississauga, Whitby, Pickering, and Newmarket.

The portions at Philthy Philly’s are no joke. The sandwiches are massive. And people are going to really enjoy it in terms of experience.

Philthy’s options are impressive. There are over 60 menu options, showcasing many different sandwich options, poutine, sides, and salads. You can go back a thousand times and there will always be different ways of mixing plates to create new combinations and try delicious bites.

Talk About Philthy Sandwiches

The specialty at Philthy Philly’s is the cheesesteak sandwich, but there are many other types of sandwiches to choose from. There are three sizes to choose from, starting at the six-inch Phil, then the eight-inch regular, and the whopping twelve-inch Philthy.

You can get your pick from delicious and big sandwiches like the Philly Cheesesteak, pulled pork sandwiches, cheese melts, and chicken sandwiches. There are many other options, most of which are filled with cheese and meats, and if you want you can add Cheese Whiz to any without an extra cost.

All the food is made fresh with premium quality ingredients and tasty seasoning. The sandwiches are served on freshly toasted buns from Amoroso’s Bakery in Philadelphia. Some of the biggest contenders are of course the traditional cheesesteak sandwich, the Italian Stallion, and the Notorious PIG.

Philthy Philly’s Poutinerie

Poutine is one of French-Canada’s legacy for the world. Traditionally, poutine consists of potato fries, gravy, and cheese curds. Philthy Philly’s takes it to the next level by adding a load of toppings and possibilities to their menu.

You can get the traditional poutine, which is great to share with friends when you also want to get a sandwich. If you’re craving something a little richer, you may want to try the loaded versions.

You can get your hands on a box of poutine topped with cheesesteak, chicken, bacon, pulled pork, peppercorn steak, smoked meats, and many others. You can always go back to try all the different options there are. These loaded fries are a great way to fill the stomach after a night out partying.

Other Philthy Menu Options

Philthy Philly’s has something for everyone. You can eat delicious poutine, and great cheesesteak, and accompany it with your choice of fries, onion rings, or even salad. There are also very interesting chicken sandwiches, pulled pork sandwiches, and burgers, making the menu very complete.

For those with a sweet tooth, you can enjoy S’more, cinnamon & sugar, or Skor Puff Daddy’s, which are sweet balls of puff pastry with the described toppings. The best dessert, however, is the Philly Cheesecake, a traditional Philadelphia cheesecake with a topping of your choice.
