What Is Delta 10 THC?

You’ll find Delta 10 in trace amounts in a cannabis plant. It’s a cannabinoid like Delta 9 THC, also known as simply THC, which gets you high but is much less potent and will offer less of a psychoactive effect.

How Is Delta 10 Made?

Creating Delta 10 requires an external chemical additive to chance the double bond of other isomers and cannabinoids when distilling.

You’ll mostly find hemp-derived Delta 10 THC products, which are created through a process known as isomerization.

Isomerization is when a molecule, ion, or molecular fragment is transformed into an isomer with a different chemical structure.

This process can only be used since Delta 10 is structurally similar to CBD and other THC forms.

Is Delta 10 Synthetic?

Delta 10 THC is a semi-synthetic cannabinoid; this means that you can’t find it alone in any product; it has to be made.

Seeing that Delta 9 THC is the only abundant source of THC in cannabis, this means that most products containing D10 are synthesized.

Is Delta 10 Safe?

Delta 10 is safe to consume.

However, since there are chemicals used in the extraction process, you must be only consuming Delta 10 products that have been tested to ensure that all substances have been removed.

It should have a QR code to show proof of testing certifications to ensure it’s a safe product.

Effects Of Delta 10

Expect to get high, but not as high as you would with regular Delta 9 THC since it’s much less potent.

Delta 10 gives users a more uplifting and energizing effect and is often compared to the cerebral strains of Sour Diesel, Pineapple Express, and Super Lemon Haze.

For a more accessible explanation, Delta 10 is similar to using a sativa, and Delta 8 is like an indica.

Is Delta 10 Legal?

Because Delta 10 products are hemp-derived, they are deemed legal across the states. This allows those who live in cannabis-illegal states to purchase D10 products without breaking the law.

Since hemp contains less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC, it’s federally legal. This means that Delta 10 offers a less potent high than D9, but users can still get a buzz from it legally.

That being said, there is a list of states that have taken it upon themselves to prohibit D10 THC; these states include Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Mississippi, Montana, Rhode Island, and Utah.

Delta 10 vs. Delta 8

The creation of both Delta 10 and Delta 8 are very similar; they start with extracting CBD oil from legally grown hemp, which is later processed into either D10 THC or D8 THC.

It takes different chemical mixtures and reactions to create the other deltas.

Delta 10 isn’t that easy to manufacture; it has to be significantly refined, resulting in less product.

Many products combine Delta 10 with Delta 8 simply because it’s so challenging to produce an abundance of D10.

In terms of effects, we mentioned above that Delta 10 is similar to a sativa; you’ll be talking up a storm and ready to seize the say with its energizing effects.

Delta 8, on the other hand, is like an indica, helping you catch up on your zzzs or bringing you into full-body bliss.
